Returning Students

Welcome back, Bulldog!

We’re happy you’re considering a return to Truman State University. As a former student, you already know the unique value of our education. Whether you’ve been away for an academic year or longer, we’re here to help you continue your academic journey in pursuit of your goals.

Our advisors are ready to help you navigate your return, ensuring you can pick up where you left off and make the most of your Truman experience. If it has been some time since you were last enrolled, we encourage you to take a moment to explore our degree programs and any updates made to your program of study.

We look forward to having you back and supporting you as you work towards completing a current or new degree!

Returning Student Checklist

For students who have been away from Truman for less than two consecutive semesters, you do not need to apply for readmission as a returning student! Simply connect with your academic advisor to get enrolled in courses. You are also welcome to connect with academic advisors at the Center for Academic Excellence for questions or concern. Keep scrolling down the page if you need a refresher on how to access your student account, register for classes and more.
Student unenrolled for longer than two semesters should apply for readmission using the Returning Student Form. You will also need to send us your transcripts if you’ve attended other colleges since you were last enrolled at Truman. If you were suspended after your last semester at Truman, you will need to apply for reinstatement to appeals@truman.edu.

Returning Student Form

Once your application for readmission is processed, an academic advisor from the Center for Academic Excellence will be reaching out to help you get reacquainted with Truman, ensure you have an appropriate course schedule upon your return, and connect you with campus resources.

TruView is your student hub for viewing transcripts, bills, DegreeWorks, and more. If you are having trouble accessing your TruView account, you can contact the ITS Help Desk at 660-785-4544.
You will need to connect with your academic advisor to be cleared to register and review your degree plan. If you are having trouble connecting with your faculty advisor, we recommend you connect with the advising team at the Center for Academic Excellence. Once you are cleared by your advisor, you will be able to register in classes for your return semester.
The Center for Academic Excellence is happy to help! You can contact us through our website, by emailing advise@truman.edu, or by calling 660-785-7403.
