Frequently Asked Questions
The Office of Admission notifies students if they have been invited to participate in the Bulldog Scholars Program in their acceptance letter. The Office of Admission invites students to participate in the Bulldog Scholars Program (BSP) based on the student’s admission materials. These factors include high school GPA, test scores (if applicable), and completed coursework. Students cannot opt into BSP, but must be invited.
Our program accepts approximately 25 students per cohort. To accept your spot in the program, sign the Letter of Intent. This tells program staff that you plan to attend and are committed to being part of the program. Next, complete your Program Questionnaire to tell us more about you! Both the Letter of Intent and Program Questionnaire are found in your Admissions application portal——the same place you found your acceptance letter.

There is no additional cost to students to be a part of the Bulldog Scholars Program. During the Summer Experience, all activities, early move-in costs, and meals are covered by the program. In addition, we cover the cost of monthly activities (if applicable) during the academic year.
Yes! As part of your acceptance into the Bulldog Scholars Program, students must participate in the Summer Experience. We have found this to be an incredibly valuable for students to adjust to college, understand program expectations, and get a jumpstart of their first academic year, for that reason all students are required to participate in the Summer Experience.
Yes! Student athletes have participated in the Bulldog Scholars Program, including those that have required early practice that overlaps with the Summer Experience. For those students, program staff work alongside your coaches to make a schedule that allows you to participate in both programs.
The Bulldog Scholars Program’s Summer Experience occurs one week prior to new student move-in day.
Yes! Students in Bulldog Scholars receive a yearly $2,000 scholarship for a total of $8,000 over a 4-year degree. Students must meet the following expectations to maintain their scholarship:
- Meet satisfactory progress and participation standards throughout the Summer Experience (90% participation)
- Meet satisfactory progress and participation standards throughout the academic year (75% participation)
- Earn a minimum 2.00 GPA by the end of the freshman year
