Prepared to become a Bulldog Scholar? Students invited to participate in the Bulldog Scholars Program have a few steps to secure their spot.
The Letter of Intent from the program director provides you with a breakdown of program expectations. Please review the Letter and digitally sign to let us know you intend to participate in the program.
Complete the Program Questionnaire. This questionnaire helps program staff get to know you and work to construct an experience that meets your needs.
Submit your Housing Application. If you’re local and plan to commute, the Housing Application will allow you to indicate your commuter status.
All new freshmen students will attend one of Truman’s June Summer Orientation sessions to register in courses, meet other accepted students, and learn more about how to prepare for the beginning of the fall semester.
Attend our required pre-Summer Experience info session to prepare for move-in logistics, meet the program staff and fellow program participants, and get your questions answered.

Move-in a week prior to Truman Week and participate in the Summer Experience. The Bulldog Scholars Summer Experience is an early start to college that helps you build confidence, skills, and connections before your first semester begins. You’ll get to know campus, meet fellow students, and develop strategies for academic success.

Admitted Student Event
Admitted Student Day is a celebratory, one-day event designed for students who have already been accepted to Truman. You’ll connect with future classmates, meet faculty in your major, and get clear next-step guidance to feel confident about enrolling. It’s a focused introduction to the Bulldog community as you prepare to make Truman your home.
Truman Experience Weekend
Truman Experience Weekend is a two-day, customizable visit open to prospective students and families at any stage of the college search. You’ll build your own schedule, explore academics and campus life in depth, and spend extended time getting to know Truman at a relaxed pace. It’s an immersive way to “test drive” the Truman experience before making your college decision.
